Stromness THI
In 2004 I was asked by Orkney Islands Council to prepare the initial bid to Heritage Lottery Fund for the Stromness Townscape Heritage Initiative. This successful bid led to £3.8M of funding which is now being used to secure the future of the historic centre of Stromness.
I worked with Gray Marshall Associates of Edinburgh and Pentarq Quantity Surveyors to develop this information in the Stage 2 bid. This secured the final funding and I was part of the same team on the flagship project: the refurbishment of the Old Commercial Hotel.
I also acted as agent for a number of building owners to secure grants and carry out repairs to properties under the THI scheme.
